Parts of it can be gold & silver toned with springs & coils. The art of Zardozi embroidery uses gold wire (zari). The process of making the gold wire (zari) is extremely intricate and involves heating the gold wire and a silver bar in the furnace to form an alloy. Gold-coated silver wire is extruded from this alloy and this wire when wrapped around a silk thread forms zari.Small patterns take days to finish. Large, extensive patterns are completed over weeks. This allows best appreciation of the color, mirror work, bead work & embroidered patterns.- Any creases in the tapestry can be removed by careful pressing in non-steam mode on the reverse side.
