Care: DRY CLEAN only. Zari weave is intricate & extremely delicate. Black cotton lining on the other side protects the Zari weave.

Condition: Brand New - made of vintage Zari weave patterns. Since Zari thread is drawn from metals, it tends to oxidize over years. This oxidization shows as slight gray or black on the Zari. Slight Black / Gray stains on the Zari weave reflect the age of the Zari weave - this is not an imperfection and add to the character of the Bedspread.

There are two basic categories of Brocades - Brocades with pure silk or silk & cotton blends and Zari brocades with gold and silver threads.

The quality of silk is the most critical criteria in Zari weaving. Silk allows lovely weaves, is durable, fine and smooth. Raw silk goes through an elaborate treatment for brocades - this task entails great care to ensure that the silk fibers do not weaken or get damaged. Color synchronization plays a vital part in brocade weaving.
