Hand Embroidered Tablecloths and Table Linen from India
Given the diversity in embroidery techniques from various parts of India, artisans create memorable handmade textiles. Base fabric can be silk, organza, velvet, cotton, organdy or net. Some of the most popular sizes are 100cm x 100cm (40" square), 150cm x 150cm and 150cm x 250cm. These transparent and semi-transparent beads are made of glass, plastic, ceramic and wood. The kinds of beads used in the craft depends on the pattern, base fabric and its color.
